Auch der Tourismusverband Wien trauert auf seiner homepage...
To all American users of this page: It was with shock and disbelief
that we watched our television screens. It was almost impossible for us
to believe what we were seeing: the cowardly mass murder of
peace-loving people in their own country. This was terrorism of a type
the world has never before experienced. This incredible crime against
humanity represents a major setback in our efforts to make the world a
better place. However, it will have no effect on the efforts of the
free world to seek out and destroy fanaticism, and to counter the rule
of evil with the democratic spirit of people of good will. Our thoughts
are with you at this tragic time, and we should like to take this
opportunity of expressing our most heartfelt condolences and sympathy.
We join with you in mourning the thousands of people who have fallen
victim to this futile act of aggression. With warm regards,
